Specialty Alarm Engineering was incorporated in 1975 by owner Alex Georgopulos. Alex entered the alarm industry after attending DeVry University in Chicago and then spent five years gaining practical experience working for other alarm companies. Through the years Alex has watched the security industry grow and has embraced the new technologies and innovations with cutting edge advances.

In 2008, Michael Georgopulos, Alex’s son, joined his father in the alarm industry. Mike attended Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, Illinois, and went on to the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. After college, Mike pursued a career in real estate while working for SAE on a part-time basis. Mike performed various functions within SAE and joined the company full-time in 2011.

Together, Alex and Mike continue to build an alarm company that offers the latest technologies and prides itself in always putting customer service and satisfaction first.
